Jim Gensheer ($15)

I find that the beauty of art moves the human heart like nothing else. A home full of art is filled with stories, beauty and happiness.” Jim Gensheer

As primarily a watercolor artist, I paint in the “Wyeth” tradition where you will find rural farm scenes, snow scenes, lighthouse scenes and beach scenes.  I am passionate about teaching art and am a firm believer that anyone can learn to paint!

Bring your normal painting supplies to paint along with Jim.

MAY 13, 2026 Meeting

Tom Scott ($15)

We are so thrilled to have our own Tom Scott, an impressionist, as our guest artist. He appreciates this opportunity to demonstrate to CTWS members some of the things he has learned over the years.

Tom’s business career took him many different directions, but his focus was always on the creation of original art. Tom has been active as an artist for his entire life, as a young boy he was always drawing and painting. Tom knew he wanted to be an artist, so he decided to attend West Texas A&M, the school of art, which was well known for its watercolor educational program. Tom learned and he still uses the processes of his wet wash watercolor techniques he learned at West Texas A&M.

Tom was a Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities in 1972. He was a member of the National Contract Management Association NCMA) Council of Fellows and past president of 3 different NCMA chapters. Tom was an adjunct Art Professor at Baker College in Michigan. He is now retired and lives near Waco Texas.
